Self Reliance

This topic has been on my mind a lot lately and it is something that I really have been pondering about. I have just been thinking about some things that are going on in my life that I don't fully understand and I was feeling frustrated that it seems like my prayers aren't being answered in the way that I want them to. I got to thinking about the topic that has been bothering me and what I have been doing to find answers to this problem. I kept thinking and thinking and I couldn't come up with anything that I was doing.

I think that Heavenly Father wants us to come up ways we can solve our problems and them go to him. I have just been praying for him to just answer my prayer and fix my problem without any action involved on my part. I have made a personal goal to make an effort to find answers and solutions to my problems or trials BEFORE I turn the problem over to the Lord and just say "fix it".

In other news, I hope everyone is excited for the holiday season started tomorrow!! I know I am, Kirby will be sporting his Halloween bow starting tomorrow. I will post a tutorial on how I made them soon!

I will leave with a quote today by Jeffery R. Holland today:
"Don't you quit. You keep walking, you keep trying, there is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some come late. Some don't come until heaven. But for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. It will be alright in the end. Trust God and believe in Good Things to Come.”

I will add, always trust in the Lord!

Life Post College

Life post college has been so so wonderful for Kelsey and I. With Kelsey working, I have had so much time on my hands and I feel as if I can actually get some things done! Yay! I am working two days a week at Cinnamon & my mom's preschool and I love it. I am also offering to do tutoring so if you know of anyone in need, send them my way!

Kirby is still just as cute as ever. In fact, I think he might be cuter than he was yesterday. I swear everyday I wake up he is cuter. He loves to greet me every morning by laying right by my head and when I even poke an eye open, kiss my face until I pay attention to him! I love/hate it. He is growing faster than I can blink and I am getting excited to finally put his Halloween bow on him that I made.

Other than that, I have been filling my thoughts with home decorating. Were starting to look for homes and I am becoming OBSESSED with ways that I can decorate our house. I love to re-do things or create home decorations myself and I have found some pretty cool things I am going to "making over" in the near future. So stay tune for some how-to's & transformations. Until about a year ago I thought I would always just buy all my home decorations new because I didn't to be "crafty" or make anything myself. However, last summer I found a new passion. I LOVE to decorate and more so come up with ideas and make decorations of my own. So as we buy a home and I start decorating, be ready for some ideas and how-to's! I am excited for this new chapter in my life and I am excited to see all the things I can do in our home!

Big News!

I am sure many of you have already heard but.... We are staying right here in Washington!!! Yay we are beyond excited about this. We don't have to move to a desert and be somewhere where we know no one. Instead we get to stay in the beautiful PNW and be surrounded by all our friends and family.

I am so proud of Kelsey for working so hard to get us a job here. We truly feel so blessed from The Lord for giving us this unexpected opportunity to stay here. Maybe I just needed to learn a little patience:)
