Kirby Cuteness

So I have to control how many pictures I post of Kirby on Facebook because I don't want people to think I am obsessed with taking pictures of Kirby. But the truth is, I really am. I take several pictures of him a day. I just can't help it!

Kirby is growing up so fast and learning new things every day! Kelsey and I just gobble him up. I feel like a horrible person because in a week and half he is moving to a new house and his world is going to be turned upside down. He loves my parents dogs Tucker and Emma so much. Even though he will still see them often, I know it won't be the same. The worst thing is that he has no idea that it is going to happen.

Anyways Kelsey and I just adore him. His favorite thing to do still is to play, well actually it might be to eat. We love getting on the floor and playing with him. He makes these stinking cute noises that sound nothing like a dog. It is so funny and I hope that he doesn't ever out grow that. He also still loves to snuggle me like a baby and I hope he never out grows that either!

We felt like the proudest puppy parents the first time he jumped up on the couch. He had been trying for weeks and weeks to get up there with no luck. Finally he got up there but I wasn't home when he did! Kelsey was all about rubbing that one in:) Now when he jumps up he acts like he is so cool because he got up on the couch by himself. Now for a picture overload

Adult Purchases

Kelsey and I have been dreaming about buying a house for a good year now. As the year went on, we were pretty sure that wasn't going to happen. When Kelsey got his job at Milgard we started to look at our budget and realized our dream might be able to come true! We went to the bank and they actually pre-approved us! So the house hunt began.

My dad had a good friend from the Navy who does real estate on the side. We decided to use him as our Realtor. BEST DECISION EVER! Let me just take a moment to brag. He worked for us! He wasn't trying to get us to buy a house that was too much money. He knew our price point and he wasn't going to push us one single cent over it. Also, he was very knowledgeable about all the houses we were looking at, made himself available any time of the day we wanted to see a house, and helped us through this process. If anyone needs a Realtor in this area, let me know, he is seriously the best!!

Back to the house hunting. The first day we went to look at houses, was so stinking exciting! As we walked through houses I had to keep telling myself this could be mine. We had seen about 3 houses and they were great but nothing that I loved. We got to the next house and as we drove up I thought to myself, ohhh this could be a good one. As soon as I stepped foot into the house, I fell in love and I knew this was our house. It was everything I could have imagined and more. I could see Kelsey and I living in the house right away and see us having children in the house in the future. As we toured the house I kept looking at Kelsey to try and read what he was thinking but he was very quiet. I was worried that he was going to say that he hated the house. To my surprise, he loved it too.. YES!

Over the next week we thought about the house but wanted to see a few more. We went and saw a couple of other houses but nothing compared. After a bit of back and forth with the seller, we agreed and sign the approval. Holy Cow, it was real. We had a bit of a hold up with the bank financing us,  but everything worked out and we got the loan! YAY! This is our first real adult purchase and we could not be more excited.

The house has 5 bedroom and 2.25 baths. We were honestly expecting to buy a smaller house, but this house was less than most of the other small houses we were looking at. The house is brand new, how lucky are we, and it has beautiful finishes on the inside. All the other houses that are like ours were priced way over our price range! The home inspection went great and the inspector said it was built really well. HOORAY!

We close October 23, I hope these next 3 weeks go by fast! Now for a few pictures. I will post more once we move in and get all set up.

Puppy Bows

So after getting Kirby I became obsessed with a way to dress him up. I am not into dressing dogs up into clothes so that wasn't going to be an option for me. I was searching on Pinterest for ways to accomplish my goal, by the way, there is not nearly enough dog stuff on there! Finally one day I came across this bow. Oh boy was I in heaven and in love. Finally an adorable way I could dress Kirby up! Why hadn't I thought of this before! And then my dreams came crashing to a stop when I saw the price tag. There was no way I could convince myself to pay the price tag these bows had. Luckily, my grandma was in town and I she could help me solve my problems. We or mostly she could make bows for Kirby!!

So the next day we headed out to Joann's to find some cute fabric. I found many different prints for Kirby to wear. We came home and I was all ready to get started. Good thought but how to get started? I got on Pinterest again and found an awesome tutorial. Pinterest solves all my problems. You can find the tutorial here.

To change this to fit into a dog bow, we got those sew on Velcro circles and sewed the soft side onto his collar. Then on each of the bows we made we put the matching side. Now, I have many bows for Kirby to wear and I can easily change them out whenever I want to. Like today, he is now sporting his Halloween bow tie. I made two everyday use bows, a Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas bow all for less than the price of those bows I originally fell in love with. When I finished I was more in love than when I started. Here are 3 of the 5 bows I/my grandma made!

Dogs can be stylish too!
