SEABROOK

I have been dying for some time away from our everyday life for a while now. Back in January we booked this trip to Seabrook and I have been looking forward to it ever since! It was so so much fun. We were able to bring our pups with us which is our kind of vacation because we get to be together as a WHOLE family.. yes we consider them members of the family:) It was so relaxing. Everyday we woke up to a quiet morning, then would spend the majority of the afternoon on the beach and come back to a relaxing evening playing games, sitting by the fire, & reading.
Our cute cottage that we stayed in. Isn't it the cutest?!?! & bonus it was RIGHT by the fire so we always go first dibs on it. How can you go to beach without s'mores anyways!

The best part of the whole trip was watching the dogs on the beach. This was Kirby & Bella's first time to the beach and they had such a fun time! We used to call it Emma's happy place, but I think it is safe to say after this weekend it is all the dogs happy place. There is so much to see and explore for one little puppy on the beach it is like a piece of heaven on earth. But what really made them so happy was to be let off leash. They would just tear off running all over the beach as fast as they could with the biggest smile's on their faces. I have never seen a happier dog. I'm sure all that was going through their minds were I'm free!

It was also Kelsey's birthday while we were there. Which was fun to celebrate on our trip. It was exactly what we needed and a nice 5 day getaway. I am now ready to reset and get back into the everyday life. But first, I think we need a quiet night! We have 2 tired pups over here from all the running on the beach for 5 days. They walked in the house tonight and CRASHED! What a fun way to end the summer!

A Quiet Day at Home

I feel like I only post on here when we have gone out and done something or I have something to report. We were going to head up to the Olympic Game Farm today but we have been so busy and gone so much we decided to scratch that idea and just stay home. To be honest home is my favorite place to be. Don't get me wrong I love going out and doing fun things but nothing makes me happier then a quiet day at home. I love our house just as much as I did when we first moved in! So today we are staying in, working on the little's laundry and hanging out with our pups, my perfect kind of day. This time next week we will be soaking up the sun at the beach as our last little getaway before the baby gets here. Then for the remaining month we will be going on as many date nights as possible since those will have to put on hold for a little while coming up soon!

Showered

My mom has been working so hard all summer to throw me the perfect baby shower & let me tell you, it was more than perfect! She did such a great job and I had a blast this past weekend. I felt so overwhelmed and grateful not only for all her hard work but for all the people who came to help us get ready for this baby!

These are some of the decorations my mom did, she did such a good job! As you can see there was quite a bit of food, we had over 30 people RSVP so she was stressed that there was going to be enough food. I had to rain her in and stop her from getting more food.. good thing too because we had PLENTY! There was tons of extras.

We didn't want to overwhelm people with games so we had some optional games they could play and then just played one as a group. My mom took close up pics of Kelsey & I and had them printed up and then up them into strips and mixed them up and they had to make new faces on what they thought the baby would look like. It was so so so funny!!

This picture is just so funny not to post! A special thanks to Chris & Chrysty as well for taking the pictures and making the awesome cake!! Now I just have a few things to do to get ready for this baby! I can't believe we are getting so close to the end :)

Baby Boy's Nursery

I have been dreaming and dreaming about decorating a nursery for a LONG time. Especially after moving into this big house of ours and having 4 empty rooms, I longed to be able to create a nursery in one of those rooms. The day finally has arrived that I can show off the nursery! Since I've had so much time to daydream, I pretty much had what I wanted to do in the room planned out before we even knew the gender. I was nervous that what I had thought up wouldn't actually come out the way I wanted... But to my surprise, it came out better! I am beyond happy with his room and I can't wait to have him in it. I guess another good thing about having to wait so long for a baby was that we were able to pick up the big furniture pieces slowly over time knowing that we would hopefully eventually have a baby. This allowed me to be able to do so much more decorating! Also I refuse to pay full price on most things so most everything in this room was bought on sale!

These stripes are really a masterpiece. All thanks to my awesome husband and dad. I asked them to do so much on this wall... Different colors, different sizes and make if look perfect.. They did a better job than I imagined!

No there is not a huge thought bubble on his wall... His name is behind that which we are keeping a secret until he is born!

Of course my pups had to try out his crib... Yeah yeah yeah I know some will say they made it not perfect and probably got a little hair in there.. But they tested it out and gave it two thumbs up!

I'm in love with his room and I can't wait for him to be born so we can cuddle him in there! A special thanks to my mom, dad, and Kelsey for helping make this room so very special for our extra special baby coming our way soon!!!
