Cutting Down the Tree
Yesterday we were able to really get the Christmas season started. We went to cut down our Christmas tree for the first time. To make it even more Christmas-like, we woke up to a little bit of snow yesterday morning so it made it even more fun, except for the fact that it was bitter cold and windy. We got there and because it was so cold we didn't want to keep Lincoln out in the cold for too long so we kinda of hurried and picked the tree. I took Lincoln back to the car while they cut it down and it turns out that it was 10 feet tall when they got it down.. Yikes! I thought that it was only going to be about 7 feet tall. Once we got it in the house it looked even bigger but it is beautiful! I am in love with it & Lincoln just loves to lay and look at all the lights on the tree. Good thing we got such a big one so there were more lights 😊 Anyways, we most likely will never get such a big tree again but I am going to enjoy it this year! You have to have an oversized tree once in your life right?! Now we are cuddled up in the living room watching a Christmas movie to the glow of tree lights. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year 🎅⛄️❄️
TWO Months
+ loves to lay on his back on the floor and look around. As long as Kelsey or I are close by him he could lay there for hours just kicking up a storm.
+ He LOVES to smile! It just melts our hearts each time that he smiles. It is just so darn cute
+ His favorite game is patty cake. It makes him giggle every time we play.
+ lately he has become quite the little talker. It is just so cute. Well lets face it, every thing he does is cute haha
+ not a fan of tummy time. Lincoln is okay to lay on his tummy for maybe 5 minutes and then he has had enough of that. He definitely lets us know too:)
+ such a good sleeper still. He goes to bed at about 9:30 and then sleeps till about 9:30 in the morning, only waking up once maybe twice to eat. It's such a dream!
+ the mamaroo is my best friend. Except for rare times, he is content to sit in it while I get stuff done and often falls asleep in it.
+ loves having grandma and grandpa living with him while his house is being built
+ is a total mamas boy but loves it when his daddy plays & holds him too
+ just last night he started holding up his head for more than a couple of seconds on his own. He was finally upgraded to sitting in the bumbo all on his own which he LOVES!
+ still loves bath time
+ has decided that he only likes his car seat sometimes
+ wears 0-3 months clothes finally! He is really starting to fit in all the clothes I bought him. We have his two month appointment on Monday and I am excited to see how much he weighs and what percentile this little guy is in.
We sure love our little Lincoln so so so much! He's got us wrapped around his finger
Lincoln's Blessing Day
Well it has been over a month since Lincoln was blessed and I am just now getting around to blogging about it. I wasn't a great blogger before having Linc and now I am even worse about it now that he is here. He is such a mama's boy and doesn't like me to put him down much so it is hard to get to blog. Anyways... Lincoln's blessing day was so special. Kelsey gave him the most sweetest blessing ever and I couldn't help but get teary eyed during it. It was also so special because he was the first baby on my side of the family to have a baby blessing. My brother and I were 8 & 10 when we joined the church so we were too old for a blessing & we are the only members in our family. Afterwards we had all our friends and family over for a nice afternoon together. It was such a sweet day & one I will never forget!

We got held up talking to people at church and everyone was waiting for us so we were only able to get one quick picture. After everyone left I tried to get some more pictures of just Linc but he was tired from the long day. He was so stinking cute in his blessing outfit!
Thankful
I don't do the whole post everyday something your grateful for. I think its great I just know I wouldn't stick with it so I just don't start haha. The holidays are my absolute favorite time of year and as thanksgiving is approaching this year, I can't help but have my heart over flowing with things I am grateful for. This time last year Kelsey and I were still recovering from my last miscarriage the month before. We felt beaten down and unsure our dreams of having children would ever come true. This year I get to take pictures with my FAMILY just because, I get to wake up in the middle of the night to feed my sweet Lincoln, I get to be a stay at home mom and do "mom" things, I get to change poopy diapers over and over again, I get to watch my husband be the best dad in the world, I get to watch Lincoln giggle over patty cake, I get to watch my mom and dad swoon over being his gma and gpa. While November is a month for being extra thankful, my heart is bursting for things I am grateful for everyday and it starts with being Lincoln's mama. It is so special to me and something I hope to never take for granted. I AM thankful for trials, especially our trial because it made me appreciate motherhood that much more.
Lincoln Photo Dump
Not too much to report. We have just been loving life as a family of 3 and lovin' on our sweet Lincoln all day everyday. I love being his mom so much! He is so sweet and his personality is just the cutest. He becomes more alert everyday and his personality shows more everyday! We sure love this boy!!!
