Utah Weekend

When your a college student pretty much all the fun things that happen in your life happen on the weekend. A couple weeks later (see post below) we were able to drive down to Utah and meet up with my family to go to Jake and Mabel's wedding! It was such a great weekend and just what we needed!

It was also my mom's birthday that weekend and so there was much shopping that needed to be done. Especially since she just lost a bunch of weight which by the way... SHE LOOKS AWESOME!!! Luckily our hotel, which was very nice, was right next to the outdoor mall that I love. When we weren't doing things for Jake's wedding, we spent most of our time there. It was so nice to be able to spend quality time together laughing and talking. I am so excited to be able to do that again inweeks.

Jake's wedding was awesome of course. We were sad we missed the reception but very glad to see the sealing which was very beautiful.

We were also able to do some temple square site seeing because my dad has never been to Utah before. It is so amazing the peace that those grounds have even though it is surrounded by a busy world. As soon as you step foot on the grounds you can immediately feel the spirit.

Dinner our first night all together. There is always so many laughs together.

Jake's wedding. Like I said it was a beautiful ceremony. Notice I have no pictures of them though. I'm bad wedding attender haha. Pay special attention to my mom's bangs in the last picture.

Temple Square!

What's Utah without a little Tuscanos? Especially when it was my mom's birthday!

Memorial Day Weekend

Since I finally took the time to figure out how to make my blog look appealing, it has given me more of a desire to update this! So I am going to try and get caught up on a few things and from now on update the events going on in our life.

For memorial day weekend Kelsey and I were going to go camping with his sister and her family in Yellowstone. But when we saw that the highs were going to be in the 50's and the lows in the 20's we decided to ditch that idea and just go to her house in Cody, WY for the weekend. I am glad we did because we had a blast. We don't get to see them very often so even though the visit was short, we really enjoyed ourselves.

On our way there we stopped at some sights because Kelsey had never been to Yellowstone and I had only been once a long time ago. Since this is our LAST semester here and we won't be back this way for a long time, we decided to do as much as we could in the area this semster. This was number one on our to-do list so I'm glad we got to go.

In the car and ready to go! So happy to be spending the weekend together and away from school.

This was our first and last stop to look at the buffalo. We quickly realized that you saw a pack of them every other minute:) It was cool to get so close to them though.

Like I said, we saw them a lot. This pack was walking right next to our car.

We stopped to look at a few things but our favorite was the geysers. Kelsey couldn't believe how clear the water was and I liked the colored stem that kept rising from them. The whole time we were trying to guess hot each of the geysers were.

This was us at old faithful. We got there right after it blew and didn't have time to wait another hour and a half for it to blow again. Still cool to see though. Oh and more buffalo pictures. Like I said, we saw a lot of buffalo's!

We got Krista's and started having fun right away. We played baseball and basketball with the boys all night and roasted hot dogs by the fire for dinner.

We went mini-golfing the next day. It was super fun. Kelsey and I suck at this game so it was funny to watch Kaleb and Hudson do better than us:)

We spent the rest of the afternoon visiting their horses and getting a tour of the farm her in-laws own. I loved the horses and enjoyed the scenery. All in all it was a great weekend full of good food, good family, good laughs, and great memories!

We got a Puppy!

Since I haven't blogged in months and we have some exciting things happening in our life I figured I better update:)

I have been begging Kelsey to buy me a puppy since almost the second we have been married but it just hasn't been the right timing because we have been in school. We knew we wouldn't be around enough to give him the love he needed. So as graduation has been approaching my begging began again. Finally one night I talked him into it and my search began!

I got my dad on board and so we began looking everywhere for puppies (of course we wanted the same breed as tucker and Emma). After a day of looking my dad found a super cute one in Bellingham area but there was one problem. We wouldn't be moving home for another month. I asked my dad to call her and ask her if she would hold the dog, you know just trying to get some information. My dad texts me back this:

"she said she would hold the dog. Just bought the puppy"

WHAT!!! I was so very excited! (luckily I wanted him because my dad didn't even ask haha) We started thinking of names and landed on Kirby. We just had to wait until Saturday for my dad to go pick him up so we could see him more and find out what he was like.

Saturday came and my dad went to get him. My brother went to hold Kirby so he wouldn't be scared. The picture finally came and the second I saw it, I fell in love. When they got home we got videos and soon realized his personality was just as cute as he was. PERFECT! Since then we have facetimed and gotten countless pictures. He is the perfect puppy and I am just dying to get home with my little baby.

Tucker and Emma are getting along with him just great and everything is going smooth. I am pretty much obsessed with him. It's literally all I can think about and my dad is probably starting to get sick of the "Kirby update" text every 30 minutes.

Oh my gosh! Seriously how could that face not just melt your heart!!

Oh and 27 days 7 hours and 50 minutes until graduation!!! It is getting sooooo CLOSE
