Surprise it's Friday

When Kelsey and I were in college we never missed a Friday night date night. Since we have been home from school, we have sort of dropped the bomb on date nights. Let's be honest, post-college life is much busier than our college world was and I often find myself wishing there were more hours in a day. Since date nights were something that wasn't essential, they sort of just dropped off. Over the course of a couple months we realized that date nights are in fact needed!

We didn't want to go back to the same old where we go to dinner or watch a movie. Don't get me wrong, I love these types of date nights but I love them a little too much. We had heard from  friend who was doing the ABC's and each week they did a date to a letter in the alphabet. We decided to give it a shot. We started this week. I picked where we went to dinner and Kelsey planned what we did after. I picked "A Mexican Restaurant". Okay, I know it was a stretch but we were both craving Mexican.

We decided to make it fun and surprise each other for what we had planned. He guessed on the way there, but it was still fun to make it a surprise.

Enjoying his Mexican food and satisfying his craving

It was my turn to be surprised. Kelsey planned an art hunt where we would go around town looking for art. This is not something I have ever done before so I was pretty excited. We needed gas so we made a pit stop to get some. Well when we tried to start the car again it wouldn't because the battery was dead. Thank goodness for family in the same town! An hour and a half later we had a new battery in our car but it was too late for our art hunt. It was a real surprise! Luckily we can just try again next Friday!
